M2TM Progressions v.2 is a MIDI Tool for Ableton Live 12.2 (or later) that lets you create rich chord progressions in seconds. Pick from hundreds of curated progressions, then transpose to any key, rotate, reverse, and reshape them to fit your track. Choose voicing density, switch closed/open voicings, enable legato between shared tones, and optionally add an extra bass/upper extensions for thicker chords. For rhythmic feel, assign custom chord durations (with smart randomization) and pick from 150+ rhythm patterns for instant ideas.

M2TM Progressions' unique auto-inversion (a.k.a. voice leading) option can automatically select the best inversion for each chord, as an expert piano or keyboard player would do. If two consecutive chords have notes in common, the legato option can merge theme into a single, longer note (great for pads and string sections!).

You can generate the harmonies for an entire song by concatenating simpler progressions in the same Session or Arrangement clips. Append progressions to existing notes in the clip, and use the loop-match option can ensure the clip's loop area either matches the most recent progression or encompasses all the sub-progressions generated so far.
